Vivienne Westwood
Designer Vivienne Westwood has paid tribute to Malcolm McLaren, father of her son Joe Corré and the man who opened her famous shop on the King's Road, following his death yesterday.
"[He was] a very charismatic, special and talented person," Westwood told the BBC. "The thought of him dead is really something very sad."
McLaren, who was manager of the Sex Pistols and was known as the "godfather of punk",
died on Westwood's 69th birthday after a battle with cancer.
He was 64.
"He's somebody I am incredibly proud of," said Corré, who co-founded Agent Provocateur and now owns menswear label Child Of The Jago. "He's a real beacon of a man for people to look up to."
