When Hedi Slimane sets his mind on a theme, you better believe he'll carry it all the way through. And, in the most thorough way possible. That's why, following in the steps of his Cali-grunge, '90s-channeling, fall '13 collection and new, yet highly recognizable, faces of his label, Slimane's latest muse of style and song is none other than Courtney Love. Surprise (sorta)!
As one of the models fronting Slimane's music project, according to Dazed Digital, Love seems like the natural choice for this new chapter of the Saint Laurent brand. And, when placed next to other '90s-era musical muses, namely Kim Gordon, Ariel Pink, and of course,Marilyn Manson (Dazed claims each have styled themselves), it only makes sense for a label that's truly aiming to excite and revive the authentic grunge aesthetic.
And I do think that this song by Marilyn Manson totaly fits the campaign!
