I visited Lavinia good food with team NOLA.NOVA because it's my last week at NOLA.NOVA and they wanted to have a good bye lunch with me..how sweet!

At Lavinia good food you can go for a delicious breakfast , daily fresh to go cuisine and extensive lunch! It's the place to be for the ones who choose a healthy lifestyle!

Everyday they prepare tasty food with (season)products from local suppliers. They also cook without E-numbers and other unnecessary additives for a vital lifestyle and healthy body.

I had the Pizzetta with goat cheese ,walnuts and vigs! with a coconut water as drink mjam!

The food was really good and tasty but if you have a big appetite it's better to choose something else then the pizzetta because we all were still a bit hungry after. They also have sweets and cakes for after dinner but we needed to get back at the office so we didn't taste that but for me Lavinia is definitely a HOT SPOT!

Lavinia good food is open Monday / Friday from 8:30 to 16:00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 to 16:00

Food // Pistachio Matcha Raspberry Puff Pastry

Mini Pistachio Matcha Raspberry Puff Pastry Mille Feuille Jars Recipe

makes 6 jars

• 1 SHEET STORE BOUGHT PUFF PASTRY, THAWED
• 1 BATCH MATCHA PASTRY CREAM
• 1 PINT RASPBERRIES
• 1/4 CUP ROUGHLY CHOPPED PISTACHIOS
• 1/2 CUP SOFTLY WHIPPED CREAM
• MATCHA, TO FINISH

Preheat the oven to 425°F. Using a cookie cutter the same size as your jars, cut out as many circles of puff pastry as possible. Lay the pastry on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and cover with another sheet of parchment and another baking sheet to weight it down. Bake the puff, weighed down for 25 minutes. Remove the top baking sheet and bake until golden, another five minutes or so. Remove and let cool completely.

In six jars, place a small amount of pastry cream in the bottom, followed by chopped pistachios, raspberries, and a puff pastry circle. Repeat until all the puff pastry circles are used or the jar is full. Top with a dollop of whipped cream, a raspberry and a sprinkle of matcha. Enjoy!

Matcha Pastry Creamadapted from The Kitchn

• 6 TABLESPOONS MILK
• 2 TABLESPOONS SUGAR
• 1 TABLESPOON FLOUR
• PINCH OF SALT
• 1 EGG YOLK
• 1/4-1/2 TEASPOON MATCHA
• 1/4 CUP SOFTLY WHIPPED CREAM

Prepare a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Set aside.

In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour and salt. Add the egg yolk and combine into a thick paste, being sure all the ingredients are throughly combined.

Warm the milk over medium heat in a heavy bottomed saucepan until it just starts to steam.

Pour a bit of the hot milk into the egg mix in the bowl and whisk to combine. Add the rest of the milk in a slow, steady stream, while whisking. When combined, pour the mixture back into the saucepan.

Place the pan over medium heat and whisk constantly until it thickens to a pudding-like consistency. Remove from the heat and sift in the matcha and stir.

Pour the cream into your prepared strainer and push through for a smooth cream. Let cool on the counter slightly, until the cream is about room temperature. Gently fold in the whipped cream, cover with a piece of plastic wrap against the surface of the cream and chill completely.

Notes: I added in the touch of whipped cream to lighten up the pastry cream a bit but I added it in before the pastry cream was cooled enough. You can skip adding the whipped cream, it’s a question of preference, but if you do, make sure you chill your pastry cream completely.

HOTSPOT // BAR 35

So Yesterday my boyfriend and I went out for dinner to celebrate our one year anniversary! In his hometown there is this 'new' hotspot called BAR 35. The actually opened in june 2014 but because I'm living in Amsterdam we didn't had any time to visit it earlier and my boyfriend really wanted to go there because BAR 35 is known for there burgers and beer! They have home-made burgers and 35 types of beer on the menu.

We started with the Nacho's to share! And damn those were good! The price was only €7,- for a big plate of tasty nacho's for two. +10 points for the home-made(?) guacamole! 

And as main course of course the burgers! I choose the Chili burger but then the lady version ( That means a smaller bun and less meat) and how kindly that they take of €2,- of the price so my burger with fries was only €11,-. My boyfriend choose the classic BAR 35 burger and he had the normal one so his burger was €13,- or  €14,- not quit sure. You can also choose to 'supersize' your burger into an XXL one and that will add €2,- to your burger.

The price/quality ratio is very good! Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. There is a very good vibe and atmosphere at BAR 35 and they play (when we were there) remixes of classic songs. I heard an modern remix of Tracy Chapmans give me one reason to stay hear that I've heard before at a party and that just made me smile.
